US President Donald Trump on April 2, 2025, revealed mutual rates in a meeting in the White House, who will work as a punishment for countries around the world, including some of the best trading partners in America.

The day of announcing the mutual rate was claimed by Mr Trump as the “Liberation Day” for America. “For decades, our country has been looted, looted, raped and looted by nations nearby and far, both friend and enemy,” said Mr Trump while announcing the rates.

India was beaten with a ‘reduced mutual rate’ of 26%, which is half of the rate imposed by India on the US, “including currency manipulation and trade barriers,” said Mr Trump’s graph. Earlier, the Documents from the White House showed a 27% duty on India. According to the later updates, however, it was revised down to 26%.

Initially, Mr Trump announced a rate percentage of 34% China, which was later raised to 125% on April 9, 2025. He then announced a 90 -day break when performing the rates in other countries except China. It was apparently an attempt to limit what an unprecedented trade war between the US and most of the world had been a confrontation between the US and China.
