Share prices of Tata Steel LTD, Power Grid Corporation of India LTD, NTPC LTD, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd led the rally on Friday.
Among the few losers were Tata Consultancy Services LTD (TCS) and Asian Paints Ltd.
The BSE Sensex rose 1.77 percent or 1,310.11 points to close to 75,157.26, while the NSE Nifty 50 climbed 1.92 percent or 429.40 points to end at 22,828.55.
Top gainers
Tata Steel rose by 4.91 percent to £ 133.45 and drove at the strong momentum in metal shares after the US had announced a 90-day break about mutual rates.
Power Grid won 3.68 percent to £ 304.10, while NTPC added 3.25 percent to close to £ 360.10.
Kotak Mahindra Bank raised 2.85 percent to £ 2,111.50. Reliance Industries also placed a strong finish, which rose 2.84 percent to £ 1,219.30.
Top losers
Asian paint was the best loser and dropped 0.64 percent to £ 2,394.20.
TCS followed, immersed 0.43 percent to £ 3,232.30 -Weak instructions in IT shares and weak Q4 results
The Marktrally was largely powered by a broad recovery in different sectors, with metals and benches in the foreground. Sentiment was further supported by the American policy shift, which is expected to alleviate the trade pressure on the Export-Very Sectors.
