The stock, currency and debt markets of India will be closed on Monday 14 April for a local holiday. Trade will resume on Tuesday 15 April.
The BANCK BSE SENSEX rose by 1.8%, while the wider NSE index was 1.9%progressing, with most of their weekly losses after the 90-day break of US President Donald Trump on strong “retaliation” rates for countries excluding China.
The Indian rupid rose by 0.75% compared to the US dollar to 86.04, the best day in two months, because deteriorating sentiment on the Dollar increased Asian currencies.
The Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted on 102.42 rupees, with the proceeds little changed to 6.445%, as the weekly debt auction added to the delivery.
