JBM Ecolife Mobility Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of JBM Auto Ltd, has bagged a contract worth ₹1,800 crore for the procurement, operation and maintenance of 343 electric buses for Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd and other leading companies.
The company in a filing to the stock exchanges said that the orders for ‘Ahmedabad BRTS, Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service under Gross Cost Contracting [GCC] and some leading companies are to be implemented within a year.
Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd, a 100 percent subsidiary of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, currently operates 150 electric buses on BRTS routes in Ahmedabad city. It has an operational route of 160 km within the city and operates over 380 buses carrying an average of over 2.2 lakh passengers daily.
