Inflow into equity funds fell by 14 percent in November ₹35,943.49 crore against ₹41,886.69 crore in October, according to the latest data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) released on Tuesday.
Thematic funds saw maximum inflows among equity funds i.e ₹7,657 crore against ₹12,278 crore in the previous month.
This was followed by flexi-cap funds that op ₹5,084 crore.
Debt investment funds experienced an inflow of ₹12,915 crore against last month in November ₹1.57 lakh crore in the previous month.

Hybrid mutual funds saw a decline of 75.5 percent ₹4,123 crore in November of ₹16,863 crore in the previous month.
Index mutual funds saw a 45 percent decline ₹4,342.8 in November from ₹7,931 crore in October.
“Despite a tumultuous month in the stock market, mutual fund industry assets reached a new high of ₹68.08 lakh crore, mainly driven by robust inflows into growth/equity-oriented schemes. Unwavering monthly SIP inflows remained above average ₹25,000 crore in November, demonstrating the long-term vision and commitment of the investors to their financial goals despite the short-term market fluctuations,” said Venkat Chalasani, CEO, AMFI.
SIP date
Investments through systematic investment plans (SIPs) amounted to ₹25,319.66 crore. Last month, the corresponding figure was Rs 25,323 crore. And in September this figure was ₹24,509 crore.
The number of new SIPs registered in November 2024 was 49,46,408, while in October it was 63,69,919.
The SIP AUM is up ₹ 13,54,104.70 crores for the month of November 2024. The number of SIP accounts was at an all-time high of 10,22,66,590 in November 2024, compared to 10,12,34,212 in September 2024.

The net assets under management of the investment fund sector is ₹ 68,08,101.16 crores for the month of November 2024. AUM for the month of October 2024 ₹ 67,25,614.61 crores
The AAUM for November 2024 is ₹ 68,04,913.46 crores and was for the month of October 2024 ₹ 68,50,321.44 crores
Mutual fund folios are at all-time high: 22,08,14,387 in November 2024
Retail MF Folios (Equity + Hybrid + Solution Oriented Schemes) also at an all-time high at 17,54,84,468 for the month of November 2024, compared to 17,23,52,296 for the month of September 2024.
Other arrangements
In the other schemes category, index funds saw a 45 percent decline in inflows ₹4,342 crore in November. Gold ETFs saw a decline of 35.9 percent ₹1,256 million.
Meanwhile, other ETFs saw significant declines ₹1,531 crore against ₹13,441 crore.
New Fund Offers
Last month, 18 new fund offerings were launched, raising returns in total ₹4,052 million. The maximum number of new fund launches (10 in total) took place in the index fund category, raising a total of ₹523 crores. Meanwhile, three schemes have been launched in the sectoral fund category that raised money ₹2,751 million.
In addition, last month there was also a launch of one ETF, two arbitrage funds and one liquid fund, according to the latest data.
